I’m thrilled to be sharing work, ideas, and extended concepts on the Wild Energies panel of artist scholars at the Contested & Erased Energy Knowledges Conference, hosted by the University of Dundee & University of Edinburgh, in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Wild Energies panel is organized by sound artist and theorist Suzanne Thorpe, and includes media artist Marina Zurkow and sound artist Nicola L. Hein.
Organizers of this event are interested in “a non-dualistic analysis where content (the source of energy) is not separate from method (its technology of transformation).” Thus, they’ve focused the conference on contested, suppressed or erased energy knowledges.
