Pueblitos: My Oasis

... small dwellings, little villages, sweet plazas, real community; built into a landscape in miniature, a village in the train tracks of the BART corridor in East Oakland.

Using humor, discovery, and the element of surprise, "Pueblitos: My Oasis" addresses urban marginalia, the poverty of imagination of city planners, and the neglect in this low income residential and factory area in East Oakland, while providing a momentary respite from the routine blight of this desolate wasteland.

Fecundo
Fecundo is a response to the sumptuous fertility of Echo Park in Oakland. Small sculptural pieces were installed throughout the park, in broken fountains, in walkways, in the trees.
